Practicum #4-Nicole

After finishing up all of my projects at work with plenty of time to spare today I thought it would be a good idea to actually accomplish something on my Kongregate profile. While it was a tough choice between getting to level 2 or earning a badge I decided to go for a badge because it seemed that leveling up was going to be harder than anticipated for me because I have so few points at the moment. I decided to look for a new game that had badges from getting to the next level so I went under favorites and found the game red remover. At first I was confused because it seemed as if I was participating in a tutorial for the game but even though I was learning as I went it was leveling me up. I really enjoyed that even if you "failed" the level you got to start over where you last ended so it wasn't a matter of going back over and over again. After completing the first 10 levels of red remover I received the "Gravitational Innocence Badge" and with this I gained 5 points towards my overall points on Kongregate. As you can see to the left this is what came up on my screen after earning my first badge. Having quite the ego boost that I found a game I was actually decent at I became addicted eventually getting to level 30 where I earned the "Par for the Course" badge earning another 15 points. I'm not really sure if there are any additional benefits to earning badges other than points and bragging rights. I'm happy to say that I am now at 40 points and my goal is to make it to level 2 before my presentation to look a little more official.

  1. After hearing how much you liked this game I decided to try playing it..and ohh wow! this game is totally addicting and super fun! Apparently even watching it is addicting because my boyfriend just stared at my screen for like 20 minutes!
