Blog #5-Kristin

I saw that our weekly blog was a Plants vs. Zombies game. I was interested and had no idea what to expect. When I first started playing I thought it was incredibly stupid and primitive because you couldn't do much but plant plants to keep the zombies from getting to your house. When I got to the next level I go to plant sunflowers and thought those might do something cooler than other plants that look like a plant from Pokemon (Victreebel). Well, I didn't know until the zombies started coming that the sunflowers don't shoot things and only give you suns... Well, was I in a frantic rush to plant the plants with weapons across three lines of grass as the zombies slowly approached my innocent sunflowers. After the second level the game became more interesting to me because obviously it got more intense and there were more zombies. I didn't have the opportunity to play very long because I had a lot of other things to do, but it was an interesting game. I kinda liked that it was very limited with what you could do on the game. It made it really easy and self explanatory how to play the game. I like games that are not very complicated to start playing. I wonder how old this game is and how popular it is. I think they should turn it into an app on the iPhone.

  1. Plants vs Zombies first came out in 2009. It's available on iPhone, iPad, both Mac and PC, all of the major consoles, and most recently for the Nintendo DS. It was also the 2010 'Game of the Year', so it's kind of a big deal.
